What Does My Insurance Cover?
We understand that insurance can be very complicated! Most people have Health Insurance, also called Medical Insurance, that covers some of the cost of visits to most doctors. Many health insurance policies DO NOT cover routine eye exams or eyewear. If your plan does not cover routine eye exams, you may have to pay out of pocket for your eye exam and eyewear. If you have a medical diagnosis that requires regular eye exams (such as cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration or diabetes) your health insurance may cover part of your eye exam.
Many employers offer supplemental insurance for eye exams and eyewear. This is know as Vision Insurance. This typically covers one eye exam per year. Your Vision Insurance may or may not contribute an allowance towards eyewear.
If you are not sure what your insurance covers, please talk to your insurance company or human resources department to verify your coverage before your exam.

What Will I Pay?
We require payment at the time of service, so please be prepared to pay your copay.
If you are coming for a medically necessary eye exam, expect to pay your specialist copay. If you wish to have refraction to determine your eyeglass prescription, expect to pay an additional fee for this service, as most medical insurances do not cover this procedure.
If you wish to be fitted for contact lenses or need to renew your contact lens prescription, expect to pay an additional fee for these services.
We do our best to determine the amount you should pay before your visit and charge you appropriately, however, once your claim is filed, you may receive a bill if you were undercharged. If you were overcharged, you will receive a refund!
